Congratulations to Prof. Ronit Satchi-Fainaro on Winning the 2024 Tenne Prize from the Israel Chemical Society

The Israel Chemical Society has announced that Prof. Ronit Satchi-Fainaro is the recipient of the 2024 Tenne Family Nanoscience Prize, awarded in memory of Lea Tenne.

 

The prize is awarded annually to leading Israeli scientists to encourage excellence in the field of nanoscience and nanotechnology. Prof. Satchi-Fainaro was recognized for her groundbreaking work in synthesizing and developing innovative nanoscale drug delivery systems designed to target specific cells for immunotherapy applications.

 

Prof. Saatchi-Pinero is one of the world's leading researchers in the field of drug delivery using advanced technologies. Her research focuses on the creation and 3D printing of tumor models that facilitate understanding of cancer cells interactions and enable the adoption of targeted diagnostic and therapeutic approaches. In addition, she has developed nanobiotherapeutic drugs that aim to specifically disrupt communication between cancer cells.

 

Prof. Satchi-Fainaro has published 160 groundbreaking articles in leading academic journals worldwide and holds 95 registered patents. Beyond her academic achievements, she is deeply committed to making science accessible to the public. She volunteers as a speaker in programs like "Youth for Science" and "University for the People," sharing her expertise with diverse audiences.
