Tel Aviv University inaugurated the Eileen and Louis Dubrovsky Research Fund for Solid Cancers at the Faculty of Medicine during its 2023 TAU Board of Governors Meeting.

The Fund was made possible by a generous donation from Mr. Richard Dubrovsky, on behalf of the Dubrovsky and Cotler families of Montreal, Canada, in honor of their aunt and uncle. It will promote expert research in the field of solid cancers, which the founders hope will lead to major breakthroughs in the fight against the devastating disease.

"This will be the beginning of an amazing year in the development of solid cancer research at the University," said Prof. Ronit Satchi-Fainaro, one of TAU’s leading cancer research and nanomedicine experts.  "From big collaborative grants to student fellowships, these funds will help us advance the path to our goal."

Dubrovsky, past president of the Montreal Jewish General Hospital and former board member and chair of the hospital’s foundation, hopes the fund will also facilitate greater collaboration between the hospital and TAU.
