Prof. Mizrachi is a Surgeon-Scientist at the Department of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery of Rabin Medical Center in Israel.
He runs an active research laboratory focusing on tumor and radiation biology as well as targeted drug delivery for Head and Neck Cancer. The ongoing research projects include novel therapeutics and combination therapies via the PI3K/Akt/mTOR and Cyclin D1 pathways for enhancing tumor response, radio sensitization and overcoming acquired resistance in pre-clinical models of head and neck cancer.
In addition, the lab explores both radiation and chemotherapy mechanisms of action and their effect on normal tissues, which may lead to long-term treatment-related adverse events.
