Investigating Thyroid Hormone Metabolism In Cancer
The Laboratory is part of the Meir Medical Center, Kfar-Saba and is affiliated to the Dept. of Human Molecular Genetics and Biochemistry, Sackler School of Medicine, Tel-Aviv University.
Our research is centered on a recently discovered association between thyroid hormones and cancer growth. We are exploring the unique role of the hormones in several aggressive cancers and develop rational targeted cancer therapies using computer-aided drug-design methods. We are also utilizing big-data analytics to study the thyroid-cancer link by statistical and machine-learning tools. Our research is done in close collaboration with domestic and international academic and medical centers.
