Our research is focused on early detection of pancreatic cancer in high risk populations. We combine clinical setting with translational research to improve early detection of this lethal cancer. Our research methodology includes molecular and genetic analysis of human samples and cell culture methods. The main Research topics include:
• Characterization of pancreatic cyst fluids and blood - to identify early cancer markers
• Identification of genetic alterations in pancreatic cancer high risk individuals
• Study of the pathways leading to pancreatic cancer development in BRCA1 and BRCA2 mutation carriers
In addition to the director Merav Ben Yehoyada, the staff includes Dr. Erez Scapa – Gastroenterology and advanced endoscopy, Dr. Guy Rozner (Gastroenterology and genetics) and Jenny Rutenburg, our research coordinator.
